Fastbreak
“Fastbreak” is the cross-team initiative that allows brands (i.e. Paramount+, BET+) to serve ads while leveraging Bakery’s stream-manipulation capabilities on VOD content. To do this, Bakery provides the ability to decision and stitch ads into pre-conditioned content using our standard ad-decisioning service (Freewheel) and Google Pod Serving (their manifest manipulation version of DAI) via the fastbreak
filter. To do this, Bakery consumes brand-specific MRSS feeds of the CMS-data describing available content for that brand. See the following for fastbreak filter use and brand-configuration.
